Research Projects
Metafor is involved in various research projects.
Here is an overview.

Silva21 is a silvicultural research program aimed at providing data, tools and practical solutions to improve the resilience of Canada's forests to various disturbances and stresses.
The program is the result of an NSERC Alliance grant of $5.5 million over 5 years, and involves more than 38 research projects and 50 collaborators, including 5 universities.
TransX
TranX is a network of plantations spanning Canada and the United States, made up of natural and improved genotypes of key species in northeastern North America. The main objective of the project is to study the response of trees to future warming, focusing on leaf phenology, growth, health and survival of species and populations.

Automated route extraction and integration across forest management units
Updating and evaluation of forest road networks in Ontario based on automatic extraction of forest roads from airborne laser remote sensing (ALS) data combined with artificial intelligence algorithms.
